HOW TO INSTALL CC

THIS TUTORIAL IS ONLY FOR THE SIMS 4!

Most of the custom content will be in .package files, the only things that aren't in .package files are houses, sims, and script modifications.

In the case of my custom content, everything is in .package files.

For the game find and read the item it needs to be placed in the "Mods" folder.

The location of the folder usually is: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods

Some of my ccs are in .rar files so you will have to decompress. For it, I use Winrar that is free and works ok. You don't know how to decompress .rar files? Here you can find a tutorial (with pics) of how to do it and a link to download WinRar.

RECOLOR

If the item is a recolor you will need the base mesh too for it to work properly in-game.

  • If it's a recolor of the base game's item (s) you're ok but if it's a recolor of some Expansion/Game/Stuff Pack's item(s) you will need it installed on your PC/MAC. Usually, the creator advises if is necessary some pack or not, so always remember to check out the item's description.

  • If it's a recolor of another creator you will need to download it too, usually, the creator of recolor puts a link in the same post saying where you can find the mesh.

PREMADE SIMS AND LOTS

Sims and lots come in various files; for example .trayitem, .blueprint, .householdbinary, .sgi, etc; and ALL these items need to be placed in the "Tray" folder.

The location of the folder usually is: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Tray

Before all the tray files have been placed there you will find the Sims and Lots in your personal gallery in the game.

Items in .rar and .zip you had to decompress. For it, I use Unrar that is free and works ok.
